Goals: 1. Avoid damaging my skin again by: (a) using soothing, sensitive-skin friendly products; (b) wearing sunscreen daily; (c) avoiding over-exfoliating & other irritation. 2. Hydrate my oily-but-dehydrated skin. 3. Avoid ingredients that tend to worsen my acne: no coconut oil, olive oil, or heavy silicones. 4. Gently exfoliate & manage acne (e.g. closed comedones along jaw, open comedones on forehead, inflamed pimples on neck, along jaw, and sometimes cheeks). 5. Keep it simple wherever possible. For now, focus on getting & keeping my skin stable over incorporating more products. I can always add something in later.
Morning routine is performed in shower (oil cleanser is applied a few minutes beforehand), often after a sweaty workout; evening routine is at sink. After cleansing, I often rinse with distilled water and then gently exfoliate with a washcloth.

Limit to a maximum of two days in a row and skip COSRX toner during use (Inkey List azelaic serum seems to be OK).

I didn't think a toner would make much difference, but including this has helped SO much with irritation - I assume due to increased hydration. I think it may be reducing oil production as well (not sure how, but I'm not going to complain).

This is the only sunscreen I've tried that doesn't sting, irritate my skin, make me an oil slick, or clog my pores. Moisturizes enough to skip a separate AM moisturizer. I just wish it had a more matte finish.

I try to remember to apply this before brushing my teeth, but I often forget so it typically doesn't sit as long as it does in the morning.

Day 1 of 3 day rotation for actives. Skin typically a little red the next morning. Includes BHA (betaine salicylate) + PHA (gluconolactone), tea tree oil, panthenol, AND centella extract components (madecassic & asiatic acid, asiaticoside).

Day 2 of 3 day rotation for actives. I'm not in love with the texture/finish, but it's manageable (to avoid pilling, I have to wait long enough for it to fully dry but not TOO long) and doesn't irritate my skin.

Day 3 of 3 day rotation for actives (rest-ish day). Includes centella extract (obviously) & components (madecassic & asiatic acid, asiaticoside), niacinamide, peptides, and panthenol.

My skin seems to really like oat; this moisturizer has never irritated my skin. Texture is lovely. The lack of actives means this plays well with any that I want to use. I like the packaging, except that the pump dispenses a tiny amount.
