The most recent evolution of my skincare routine. Distinct day & night routines.
HG cleanser. She’s a moment. Lightweight, non-stripping, hydrating cleanser. lightweight gel, foams up quickly, silky feeling on application, skin gets clean quickly & it washes off easily.
used to add moisture between toner layers & for any product with humectant. this is fancy water in a can but using it feels luxurious & decadent, so i like it.
HG toner. I always use this first, with a double layer, as the base for the rest of my products. watery, lightweight, hydrating essence/toner. 4 layers if i use this as a lone toner in the routine (which i never do).
HG daytime toner. gorgeous fat water that absorbs easily & leaves my face very moisturized. not primarily a hydrating toner. 3 layers is enough for adequate hydration if i use it as the sole toner in the routine.
HG essence. Just a workhorse essence that does it all.
HG serum. moisturizing & mildly hydrating serum with vitamins & emollients to help with texture and fine lines. contains 5% niacinamide.
HG eye serum - gets rid of bags under my eyes completely (and i work night shifts). it does irritate my eyes after prolonged continuous use, so have to take a few days off every couple of weeks.
Bakuchiol eye cream
HG moisturizer. Wonderfully calming mid-consistency cream that spreads easily & absorbs quickly. Feels refreshing on the skin.
HG Sunscreen. Chemical & Physical SPF.
Lip mask
Flavor: Raspberry Shortcake
HG oil cleanser. I don’t wear make up, so this is just to remove sunscreen & daytime products & it does the job. I love oils on my skin, so this works well. first cleanser in my double cleansing routine.
a gentle, calming toner that’s moderately hydrating. the BOJ Ginseng essence layers beautifully over this one. Prefer Anua Heartleaf for hydration & feel but this is better for when my skin is irritated.
HG toner. I always use this first, with a double layer, as the base for the rest of my products. watery, lightweight, hydrating essence/toner. 4 layers if i use this as a lone toner in the routine (which i never do). Smells like a salad.
the hype was real! an instant HG essence that layers beautifully over the BOJ ginseng essence. a viscous essence with a definite smell that feels silky on application & provides and instantly hydration boost. 1-2 layers for great hydration.
Milk toner. A luxurious end to my toner flood. Gorgeous. Only one layer otherwise can be irritating.
a light bakuchiol infused squalane oil that takes a little bit longer to absorb than a regular serum. a little goes a long way. dries down shiny, so skip if you don’t like that look. also used on lips.
chemical exfoliator that’s an alternative to actives. it’s a creamy serum & is non-irritating but effective for exfoliation. used on non-retinal days
HG eye serum - gets rid of bags under my eyes completely. it does irritate my eyes after a few weeks of continuous use, so I mix it in with the Haru Haru bakuchiol eye cream
Bakuchiol eye cream. Gentle & helps with fine lines and eyebrows lifting. I mix it in the with TO Caffeine + EGCG eye serum
a lightweight gel moisturizer that feels like a cooling lightweight cream on application. hydrating and soothing. used as a serum rather than moisturizer.
introduction to retinal. starting with twice a week and aiming for every second day use without issue before going up to 0.1%.
light-weight calming moisturizing cream that’s my primary moisturizer in summer. HG.
I like this but would be willing to try something else
