About

i wash my hair once a week. yes, seriously. this probably sounds disgusting and/or crazy to you, assuming you’re a normal person. but apparently this is ideal for my hair type – THICC, frizzy and slightly wavy. i used to wash my hair every day, which seems crazy now – this is usually only recommended for fine/thin hair.

• wash hair ONLY once a week. yes, seriously – apparently this is ideal for my (thick, wavy, frizzy) type of hair.

• on non-wash days, apply leave-in conditioner and hair oil.

• once a week, oil scalp and ends. massage with bamboo brush for 5 minutes, apply oil, massage with silicone massager for 5 minutes, apply hair oil to ends. put on cheap amazon shower cap, let it sit for about 3 hours.

• use Dr.ForHair scalp scrub on wash day.

• apply K18 hair mask after shampooing but before conditioner. leave in for 4 minutes.

• apply BrioGeo scalp mask after shampooing but before conditioner. this is to help with my itchy scalp - not sure if it’s doing much.

• also apply Shiseido hair mask once a week.

• always dry hair with blow dryer.

• do i need mousse or not? what about styling cream or hairspray or any other product? it’s so confusing!!

• i don’t even know how i want my hair to look. i want it to not be frizzy or greasy, that’s all i know. straight hair is pretty! wavy hair is pretty! curly hair is pretty! IDK

• once i finally have a job, i’m gonna strongly consider splurging on one of those fancy dyson tools.

• how much of a difference does a hairbrush make? try comparing my Tangle Teezer Ultimate Detangler and Unbrush Plus – see if either one delivers noticeably better results.

• how on earth can anyone have halfway decent looking hair WITHOUT the use of hot styling tools? mine will never look good without them :/
