Super pale girl trying to keep her freckles while having a good skincare routine. I avoid any actives that could potentially fade them, as well as ingredients that make my sensitive skin even worse.
After I turned 23, my skin went haywire: it went from normal to oily, I developed demodicosis that lasted more than half a year, and I was diagnosed with several other skin conditions that I'm trying to take care of (such as eczematous cheilitis, dyshidrosis, rosacea, milia, folliculitis, and the one that I'm battling since I was 5 years old: keratosis pilaris)
The ingredients that I'm trying to avoid are:
Niacinamide, any Vit A derivative, Vit C, Vit D+E, AHAs, BHAs, PHAs, and any plant that has any of the above-mentioned properties. Sometimes I'll use them sparingly to spot-treat certain areas (aka the ones where I don't have a lot of freckles).

K-Beauty lover since 2015.
I mix 1/3 NW10 from Mac and 2/3 of white foundation from the same brand, other foundation shades catered to "pale people" are way too dark for me.
(Pale skin with cool-ish undertones).

After recovering from my fungal acne scare and undergoing treatment (meaning no other skincare routine other than micellar water and Soolantra), I noticed significant changes in my skin: It shifted from a normal to an oily type and became much more sensitive. I've also been dealing with persistent texture issues that emerged during my fungal acne episode, and despite six months passing, they haven't disappeared.
I absolutely hate products containing niacinamide, vitamin C, AHAs, BHAs, retinol, and any other ingredients that could potentially fade my freckles. However, I will now use products with these ingredients to spot-treat certain areas ONLY (i.e. I won't use any kind of active on my medium third, where most of my freckles are located, but I may use them on my forehead [will sacrifice some freckles in order to start my anti-aging regime], and half of my lower third to lighten my color a little bit and get rid of stubborn texture. I will also treat my nasolabial folds to get rid of the new little bumps and see if I can make the fine lines go away)
I might purge like the plague, but my skin needs care, and I'm fricking scared of the journey.
Lips: After my fungal acne disaster, my derm prescribed me Interderm (antifungal+antibiotic+corticosteroid cream). Interestingly, some lip balms that used to work wonders for me in the past, such as Laneige, Carenel, and Letibalm, now seem to have adverse effects on my lips due to their hidden exfoliants. As a result, I've decided to switch to using serum and Vaseline on days when I don't need to apply my cream

I plan on using this in the AM because I might use retinol/actives at night

This is amazing. Holy smokes. I thought it would break me out (as a lot of exfoliants have done in the past), but it actually got rid of all my CC in only one night. Used 1-2/week

Before the retinol. I still haven't tried it, I'm waiting for my package to arrive.
I'll only use it on my retinized zones for a few months, to see how my freckles fare. If they do not fade, then I'll use it on the whole face.

My derm recommended this for my super sensitive skin when I asked for a retinol rec for my fine lines (forehead, bust, nasolabial folds) and to get rid of the stubborn texture.
I'm super scared to try. Will update.
