Routine Creator FAQ

The Routine Creator is a way to help you organize and track your routine.

It allows you to set products you use, how often you use them, and include any extra notes that you’d like to record.

Every routine is unique, so the Routine Creator is flexible and designed to be customizable. Your routine doesn’t have a limit on the number of products.

Products you add to your routine will be automatically placed in the order that our algorithm thinks it should be used in. However, you’re always welcome to reorder your products. Click edit and drag the products to where you’d like them.

You can add products to your routine by clicking the “Add” button and searching for the product’s name. Once you find your product, we’ll prompt you to add it to either your AM, PM, or AM & PM routines.

Once you’ve added a product, you’re free to change how often you use it. You can select options like “every day” or “every sunday and thursday”.

We do our best to automatically order the products in your routine, but you’re always welcome to rearrange them.

You can also add notes to products on your routine - this is useful if there’s something specific you’d like to remember about a product.

Your Daily Log allows you to track which products you used in the morning and night of each day. You can also add notes about your skin and include photos (private to you).

The Daily Log is a companion to help you reach your skin goals.

After you begin logging your routine, we’ll be able to provide you with deeper insights about your products and skin.

If you haven’t logged your routine that day, you will see a prompt to log your products when viewing your routine.

Anyone can edit their Daily Log for the current day. Use sunscreen a bit after logging your AM routine? No worries! It's easy to hop back in and log it.

Premium members can edit their log for the previous two days. If you miss logging your routine, Premium will let you log it even after the day is over.

Nope! You can add any category of products: bath/body, haircare, makeup, and more.

You can also set the routine type under the ‘edit my routine’ button.

Just an FYI - certain Routine Creator features do perform better with just skincare products.

Adding a product to your routine can be done in two ways.

The first, and easiest way, is through your routine. Once you have your routine open, you can simply click ‘add’. A popup will appear and prompt you to add the product you want.

Another way is from the product’s page. When learning more about a product, you can click ‘use it’ in the top right corner.

You can edit the frequency of use and add notes to the products in your routine. First, click ‘edit’ on your routine.

Then, click on the edit icon for any product you’d like to edit.

This will bring up an editor box where you can set the frequency of use or add notes to that product.

In your routine, click the three vertical dots next to your routine name.

Then select ‘edit routine’. This will take you to your routine details page.

Here, you can edit your routine name, type, skin type, concerns, location, description, and more.

You can add a summary or description to your routine by clicking on the three vertical dots next to your routine name.

This will open up a routine details page with a box for you to input a summary.

You can add notes to the products in your routine. First, click ‘edit’ on your routine.

Then, click on the edit icon for any product you’d like to edit. This will bring up an editor box where you can add notes to that product.

Click ‘edit’ on your routine. Then, click on the edit icon for any product you’d like to edit.

This will bring up an editor box where you can set how often you use the product.

You can delete any routine by clicking on the edit, or three vertical dots, next to the routine’s name.

This will take you to the routine details page. At the very bottom, there is a red button to delete your routine. Note: deleting your routine is irreversible.

Routine Insights give you all the information you need to know about your routine.

Potential ingredient incompatibilities, the benefits of your routine, a breakdown of your routine’s attributes, and more.

Note: Routine Insights is a feature for Premium members.

Routine incompatibilities can be found in the insights tab on your routine.

Incompatibilities will let you know when two products might have an adverse reaction when used together. Note: the routine insights tab is available for Premium members.

You can publish your routine by clicking on the three vertical dots near your routine name. Tap the publish button you see.

After that, your routine will be shared with the SkinSort community.

Once your routine is published, anyone can comment on your routine.

To view and respond to comments, click on the ‘comment’ tab at the top.

The easiest way is to copy the URL in your browser. This URL is unique to your routine.

Once your URL is shared, anyone with the URL can view your routine. However, they cannot comment on your routine unless they are logged in and your routine is published.
