It might trigger to my fungal acne. But I might still use it around my eyes since it doesn't irritate my eyes at all.

I'll start by saying that yes, this feels like practically nothing on the skin, and it's very similar to a primer as far as texture goes.

BUT once applied, I didn't feel the same level of protection as with the European SPFs I used to use. I even applied half of each on my face to compare:

With the European one I experienced a cooling effect and didn't feel any heat touching my skin, it was like being hugged by icecream (a weird comparison, but it's the closest I can think of). Meanwhile, with this one, I didn't feel anything? I felt the heat touching my skin as much as on my non-protected areas, and there was no cooling effect whatsoever.

Is it cosmetically elegant? Yes. Is it cheaper than any European SPF? Yes. But I prefer not to play around with sun protection knowing the damage it can cause, and I don't feel 100% safe using this one.

This was one of my first forays into Japanese - Korean skin care, I seen a video of Julianne Moore using it in her skin routine and being a lady of a certain age who also is a ginger faired skinned lady, thought I would give it a try. I liked it a lot and used it everyday. It never gave me any skin concerns other than I thought it was too shiny. It sinks into the skin and it works great. Have moved onto other sunscreens since this, but every now and then I will pull it out.

It is veryyy alcoholic. This means it evaporates and dries down quickly, but also that it can be drying to the skin. It can be a bit fumey around the eyes, but that disappears quickly.

There's no whitecast - but it can be shiny. It either makes your skin look dewy or makes your skin look oily based on your preference.

If spread between your palms and gently patted onto your skin, it reapplies over makeup quite well. But I don't know if that's effective sun protection though!

I use one squeeze the length of my index finger for my face, and one squeeze the length of my middle finger for my neck/decolletage and I measured it - its the right amount needed for good coverage.

I do like this sunscreen and will always be willing to repurchase it!
But if you prefer matte skin, maybe this one is not for you.

no white cast, non comedogenic, gives a nice satin finish, ultra lightweight

Shiny and burned my eyes
I generally don't have a problem with Asian sunscreens burning my eyes but this one did. It felt greasy and shiny on my oily skin when applying the correct 1/4-1/2 tsp amount and did not fully absorb.

Super light even on my oily messy T-zone, no white cast, leaves me glowy (sometimes too much but other times, makes me look like i have healthy skin lol),

I've been on a mission to find a sensory-friendly sunscreen. This is the one that has ticked the most boxes for me! Absorbs quickly and doesn't leave a greasy sensation! No lingering sunscreen smell. It has a very light clean (?) scent instead of the usual beachy one.

Not my favorite
Breaks me out and leaves my skin looking greasy instead of matte. I strongly prefer Sunprise, which I've used for years and never had any issues with.

Love it
After trying some of the other popular sunscreens (which have been found to fail at SPF expectations), I switched over to this one. It is light and feels like a serum!

Simply The Best
I have been using this sunscreen regularly since 2017 and even made sure to pack my suitcase with a few bottles on my last trip to Asia. This sunscreen is unparalleled when it comes to elegance AND effectiveness. I have olive tone skin, so sunscreens that leave a whitecast are a big no-no. The Biore sunscreen absorbs completely into my skin and doesn't leave a hint of residue. I typically use this as my daily sunscreen for non-strenuous activities, but I've used this on runs as well and haven't had problems with sweating the product off. It has a pleasant and light lemon-scent during application. My skin is not very sensitive, so the alcohol content is not a problem for me.
