Oiliness

Learn more about what it means when we attatch this attribute to a product or ingredient

Description

Having oily skin is determined by your genetics, but can also be induced by factors such as stress levels, changing hormonal levels, and humidity.

The "oil" on the skin is called sebum and it is naturally produced by sebaceous glands in the skin. Sebum keeps our skin hydrated and healthy, but too much leads to having "oily" skin, which in turn can lead to other skin conditions such as clogged pores and acne.
