Citrus Aurantium Amara Flower Water
Explained
This ingredient is also known as Neroli Hydrosol or bitter orange blossom water. It is an aromatic water made by distilling the flowers of the bitter orange tree.
Because it is water that contains very small amounts of volatile aromatic compounds, this ingredient is more gentle than essential oil.
Some of the naturally occurring components have been studied for antioxidant and calming effects. However, like other fragrant plant waters, it can cause irritation in fragrance-sensitive skin.
