About My Current Routine
Description
🔹️Mostly to keep my hormonal acne in check and unclog my pores (BHAs) while providing enough moisture for my eczema prone dry lizard skin. I stg my skin is so dry and dehydrated it flakes off, winters are so harsh and dry where I live, that if you don't moisturize before leaving the house, your whole skin will peel off like a snake's as soon as you get back home.
🔹️Most of these products are gentle enough not to irritate my very sensitive skin or give me allergic reactions, but effective against dryness and hormonal acne. I don't use them all at once, especially the moisturizers, I typically choose one (or two max if I'm expecially dry) depending on how my skin feels that day and what I think it needs. Facial oils are especially important for my skin if I want it to look like supple human skin and not like reptilian scales, my favs so far are jojoba and sweet almond oil. Used to be a huge fan of castor oil as it's super hydrating, but it sometimes gives me millia, so I try to stay away from it now.
🔹️I'm trying out retinol (very low percentage) and some vitamin c derivatives (not pure ascorbic acid, I'm not that suicidal) for the first time, to see if they can brighten up my skin a bit, make me look more alive and less like a corpse, and fade those acne scars and scratches I got from anxiously picking at my skin when I should've just left it alone (dermatillomania sucks).
