The Inkey List cleanser is a stand-in for a DIY product. My cleanser is actually: Glycerine: 1 part Rosewater: 2 parts Colloidal Oat: 1 part Jojoba Oil: 1 part
This will even remove make-up and is incredibly calming. I tried it on a whim, and have been amazed how well it's worked - better than anything I was prescribed because, well, yeah, hydrocortisone is very risky for people with EDS like me and doesn't work well with delayed wound healing. Acne products tore my skin to shreds. Fungal acne products (ketoconazole) were good for that outbreak but ultimately too drying and not fixing the cause. Everything has gone down now, even acne. My skin is also less tight and oily. It's worked within days.
Cutting out the actives is something I tried before, but it never really worked while still using foaming cleansers, oil cleansers, or micellar water as I was reacting to surfectants.
