My main goal is to put breaks on my cystic acne breakouts and heal the scars that come with it. My star actives are Benzoyl Peroxide (anti bacterial role) and Azelaic Acid (healing scars & oil control role). All the other products have a supportive role.

Note: when using Benzoyl Peroxide (BP), I only do short contact therapy. This means I leave the product on from 15 to 30 minutes on my face and then wash off and procede with the rest of the routine. For me, this was game changer. BP is the only thing that can actively stop my acne but I struggled a lot in the past with the irritation and barrier damage caused by it. I tried everything BP, wash forms, leave on creams at 2%, 3%, 5% and 10% and for me the short contact therapy at 10% was the only effective way I could use it to treat my acne without causing skin damage.

It was also a struggle to deal with the scars and to this day I'm not able to use retinol with BP on the same routine. Fortunately I found a formulation on azelaic acid that my skin agrees on and that I can use together with BP. Adding Azelaic Acid was also game changer.
