Description
a pretty comprehensive routine designed to assist my spironolactone prescription with hormonal acne. targetting congestion and oiliness, and attempting to fade stubborn PIH and acne scarring.
alcohol, allergen, (mostly) fragrance and (mostly) oil free. i don't care about sulfates, silicones, or parabens. i care very much about ingredients derived from palm, olive, and coconut, and avoid them as much as possible. i prefer to use chemist/pharmacy/prescription products for my more intense actives; these products get a pass on having disliked ingredients in them as cosmetic chemists know more about drug formulations than i do and i trust them.
hydroquinone > azelaic acid > txa > all other PIH resolving ingredients > vitamin c, and nothing will convince me otherwise.
leading up to and after clinical procedures, this routine is stripped back to exclusively micellar water + cleanser + purito bamboo cream + spf, unless otherwise directed by my dermatologist.
