About Cruelty Free Routine ✨
Description
I try my best to keep my products cruelty free :)
Skin type: combination (T-zone slightly oily, rest normal to dry)
Skin concerns: Hormonal breakouts, PIE, occasionally some dry patches, prone to dehydration, mild rosacea type 2 on sides of the nose and cheeks.
Regimen goals: Hydration in layers, calming, brightening, preventing breakouts, moisturising, evening out skin tone.
Habits I incorporated to help with my skin:
🔹Regularly changing my pillowcases (at least once every week);
🔹Washing my makeup brushes and sponges frequently;
🔹Always taking off makeup no matter how tired I am;
🔹Having gel on my nails so it's impossible to pick at the skin, because they're too thick (weird, I know, but it works!);
🔹 A separate towel for the face that is regularly washed;
🔹Being gentle with my skin. No unnecessary dragging, pulling, rubbing;
🔹Always washing my hands before starting application of skincare;
🔹Trying not to rest face on my hands (still working on this one, it's hard);
🔹When talking on the phone I try to not touch it to my face (I also try to wipe it regularly);
🔹 Reading ingredient lists;
🔹Making sure to clean makeup off of my hairline (this got rid of quite bad breakouts) with a cotton pad soaked in micellar water. There's always some left!
Skin supplements I take: biotin+zinc+selenium, A+E, evening primrose
I usually run a humidifier at night which helps immensely with dry patches (and my sinuses!)
