About πŸ’¦β„οΈ focusing on skin barrier + incorporating AA (no other actives) β€” acne+rosacea prone

Description

Climate extremely cold. Trying to build a good base routine using only (mostly) products that have consistently worked for me (not broken me out etc). Also trying to drink lots of water, and avoid: - (cow) milk (maybe except for like 2 holiday days)--though i think cheese is fine? - a lot of sugar - any vitamins beyond c and d

Incorporating Azelaic acid while avoiding any other actives. Every other day until Dec 23 then trying 2 days on 1 off after that and re-incorporating 1 day a week of PHA/BHA

After 7 Jan I have 2 other moisturizers I’d like to try re-incorporating. This plan may change as i reevaluate of course.

Except for AA, I apply everything on damp/wet skin and really try to press it in.

I didn't bring a toner on this trip. hopefully that's fine...?

Hair and body included in this as well, as that can affect acne.

I also use kitch’s silk hair beanie for sleeping. Both to protect my hair and also to try to prevent hair products from getting on my face, though I try to use acne-safe hair products anyway.

Suggestions welcome as always :)
