i don’t react to much at all, although proactiv dried my skin to hell and back when i used it once as a preteen. not terribly fond of essential oils and fragrance, but i’m usually fine with them if they’re low on the ingredients list.
i tend to buy products based on whichever is currently the best deal. this inevitably leads to me trying tons of different products (especially sunscreens), hence the obscene amount of ‘alternating’ products in some of my routines.
…ok, my ADHD probably plays a role in this as well

my skin may be pretty ‘normal’, but i struggled with acne for a long time. i eventually started accutane, which took some time to work, but my skin eventually cleared up. i never struggle with acne anymore, apart from the occasional small pimple that goes away after a couple of days.
much of my post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation has faded away, but i’m still working on achieving the clearest skin i can possibly have.

more on the natural side. i have fair-light skin and warm olive undertones i think? i have horrible body dysmorphia, and so for years i never bothered even trying to apply makeup. i figured id still look incredibly ugly regardless, and that it’d maybe be even more embarrassing if i tried to look good and failed miserably.

i also have some health problems that can make applying makeup difficult at times. not trying to sound like a victim, but it is what it is. i have found inspiration in people like selena gomez and lady gaga, because they also have health problems, and they have shown that you can still be talented, beautiful and successful while suffering from a chronic illness. they also both have makeup lines!

i‘ll admit to having purchased a bit too much after years of using nothing. free samples also can add up. but, believe it or not, almost nothing goes to waste.

my best foundation and concealer shade matches:
•Rare Beauty foundation and concealer in 170W
•MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC13
•Tarte Shape Tape concealer in 20S Light Sand
•NARS Natural Radiant and Light Reflecting foundations in Gobi (haven’t tried Sheer Glow or Soft Matte, but i’m sure Gobi in those foundations would also work)
